1063 – TFF at 40: Four Decades of Publishing Peace – Or from 1,200 to 1,6 million…

These two articles are part of the series “TFF at 40 and they invite you to learn about the probably unique history of Four Decades of Publishing Peace.

I take a look at how our small, people‑financed peace foundation has communicated across four generations of technology — from wax stencils and fax machines to mass email and Substack — and why TFF continues to publish every single day in a system that rewards noise, conflict, and militarism.

Actually, we are estimated to be among the 10% most active on the Internet in our field. It is not that bad for someone who works with the taboo idea of peace – peace by peaceful means.

It is also the story of how, forty years ago, we reached 1,200 people in Scandinavia per month, while today our global reach is estimated to be around 1,6 million people per month.

Of course, that does not make the world more peaceful tomorrow but I allow myself to be proud of that we have achieved together with all our TFF Associates. It is a satisfactory result for a truly independent think tank that is truly independent because it is exclusively people-financed (we do not accept government or corporate money).

If you think it is good that someone does peace research, public education and peace policy proposals, please hit that red button below. I is not the nuclear war button, it is the button for peace… 😉☮️
