Bør vi føre krig udenom videnskaben?

Det spørgsmål stiller Marie Hedegaard Jørgensen på Opinion.dk den 26. maj 2016.

Hun skriver blandt andet: “Vi er i øjeblikket vidne til en systematisk afvisning af forskning fra politikernes side. Det er ikke bare udemokratisk og respektløst, men det fører også til virkelighedsfjerne beslutninger, der risikerer at skabe flere problemer, end de løser. Seneste eksempel er Syrien.”

Jeg tror at hun hér er inde på noget meget vigtigt, nemlig at kundskab og analyse er blevet droppet i store dele af de politiske kredse. Hun nævner nogle områder og fokuserer specielt på udenrigs- og sikkerhedspolitikken.

Det er jeg hende meget taknemmelig for.

  1. I am not sure that reason is not used. I find the problem more serious since I suggest that reason has been corrupted. The reasons and the means and goals that are reach for in politics are more power and as is well known power corrupts. How far we are from absolute power which means absolute corruption we don´t know. But we know also from history that as soon we are close to absolute power we are close also to total break dawn. I do hope the breaking dawn will destroy very little of ordinary life. But also we know that is not likely. Maybe the most reasonable will realize that the reason that is in power will destroy also those that are in power so that they will use their power to equalize rather than polarize.
