Ukraine – Conflict Diagnosis and How To Avoid New Cold War

Public Lecture

Where: Orkanen, room D131
When: 16:00 – 18:00
What: Ukraine – A Broader Conflict Diagnosis Towards Peace Instead of a New Cold War with lecturer Jan Öberg

UF Malmö welcomes Jan Öberg, Director of the Transnational Foundation for Peace and Future Research (TFF), to discuss with us the Russia-Ukraine situation, and how it is an example of conflict-creation and confrontation.

TFF is an independent think tank, a global network that aims to bring about peace by peaceful means. It inspires a passion for peace from the grassroots to the corridors of power. In 2013, TFF was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

As always, there will be time for questions and discussion, and fika will be served. The coffee, tea and soda served at UF events is FairTrade, and we will also provide vegan cupcakes from MiaMarias Catering for the first 40 guests! Because politics starts in your coffee cup.
